Good spot for a date night with giant windows over a small clean beach, good food, great service, and good atmosphere. Food is pretty pricey I'll admit, and I feel it's a tad over what it should be...but not to a crazy amount. Drinks are very pricey so be aware. I loved how open and clean the place was. Felt very low stress, and the view was a great surprise! 9/10 do reccomend and will be back! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Quality: 4 Value: 4

Food was better than expected since it's all about the view. Service was friendly and detailed. Isreal was our server did an excellent job. Other servers and bussers also stopped by and checked on us. Thursday lunch had about 70 people dining made for a lively experience. Clean inside and all glasses and settings spotless. Will visit again on next trip

Took a road trip recently to Monterey for a couple of days. Monterey is one of my favorite places to visit since it's only a couple of hours away from home. First night there, we decided to try a new restaurant because being a creature of habit- I always try the same things. My friend found Lalla Grill on YELP and the reviews about the food and oceanside views were great so we gave it a try. It didn't disappoint overall. We arrived close to 9 pm and service was over at 10 pm. We were there on a Monday night- the dining area was pretty full. It was made up of mostly couples or small groups with the exception of one large group with two small children who literally ran around the restaurant screaming. So- it's family friendly apparently but this was distracting. The parents were apologetic and reigned them in as best as they could. We were immediately greeted upon entry and seated at a table by the window which was at the edge of the ocean. If this is your preference, then during the day, I would get here early to get a window seat. Michael was our server and was very attentive. We ordered cocktails- margaritas- my friend who is a lightweight- got the classic and was tipsy on a few sips. I ordered the top shelf with an extra shot of Grand Marnier and oh Mylanta - a few sips in and I was ready to call it a night. I'd eaten earlier so I only ordered an appetizer of the crab cakes. My friend ordered the seafood pasta. Here's my take: FOOD: Overall 7.5/10- Crab cakes were cute but I'm used to at least bigger portions. But there were four overall and they were flavorful with a nice creamy sauce that was a tad overwhelming. Less sauce. Seafood pasta- I got to taste it and what I will say is in addition to shrimp and I believe lobster or crab- I think there was some diced chicken. I don't eat meat (other than seafood) so my first few shared bites had me wondering what the mystery meat was which didn't necessarily make it seafood. Overall- good. SERVICE: very good- attentive AMBIENCE: Can be intimate but would go back to catch the vibe during the day. Great ocean views if you can score a table by the window. Family friendly which is nice but could throw off the intimate vibe on a date night.
